Web App Developer / SQL DBA - Washington, DC

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The person will be required to spend 50% of their time on DBA work and 50% on Web App development. SQL Database Administration - Capable of performing backups and recovery, hardware monitoring, performance tuning, sql queries (custom). Web Application Programming experience - ASP programming, Java, Visual Studio, C#, .NET • Good reverse engineering capabilities. VMWare Administrator - Silver Spring, MD

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The VMWare Administrator includes specializations to conceptualize, design, develop and deploy total system/product solutions for Global-wide information technology. • Ensure the recoverability, availability, scalability and performance of the Linux and Windows Environment. • Develops and maintains operational documentation and specifications on system builds, storage environment, ESX environment and other standard operating procedures. • Maintain multiple VMware ESX environments across multiple sites to include Virtual, HA, DRS, virtual switch configuration, resource pools and datastores. • Coordination of multiple storage area networks at various locations. • Troubleshoot and fix hardware and software problems as they occur. • Responsible for the identification and resolution of service level problems and the identification and support of mission-critical tasks. • Test and implement OS and applications patches as well as new application deployments into the Linux, ESX and storage environments. • Coordinate with the Security Administrator and Systems Analyst to improve and maintain the technical standards of the environment. • Should have an understanding of basic scripting, such as PerI, CGI, and sheIl. • Researches, evaluates and stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.

Minimum Education The individual shall possess a Bachelor's of Science (Bachelor's degree) degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Logistics, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in any of the above mentioned disciplines may be substituted for three years of experience. The VMWare Administrator should possess a minimum five years UNIXlLinux Systems Administration experience. Systems Administrator - Silver Spring, MD

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Systems Administrator disciplines include scheduling/production control, resource/systems management, and interactive operations. Scheduling/production control is responsible for production cycle set-up and maintenance. Monitors the production systems and documents the resolution of problems. Resource/systems management duties include using appropriate tools in monitoring and controlling system performance. Document and diagnose hardware problems and coordinates problem resolution with vendors or support groups. Interactive operations support, monitors, and reports on online application systems and availability. • Researches, analyzes, and recommends new operational support technologies, tools, and techniques. • Coaches others on the application of new operational support technologies. • Conducts system support design and performance evaluation reviews. • Identifies, develops, and updates operational support standards and procedures. • Participates with corporate strategic planning teams • Keeps abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends. • Recommends price/performance improvement opportunities. The Systems Administrator responsibilities include first level problem resolution, customer interaction, initial point of entry into site for problems and information. Documents problem calls and escalates problems to appropriate support group. In particular for this position, the System Administrator will manage the production web server environment and configure customer web sites. This will include sending requests to the DNS team to register the FQDN's, submit firewall waiver requests to the allow access to the sites, configure/renew SSL certificates, deploy new sites including database back ends and respond to customer support tickets and alerts from the monitoring system.

Package Manager and System Install Manager - Silver Spring, MD

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The package manager and system install manager engineer will conceptualize, design, develop, deploy and maintain a total Enterprise level system/product solution for OS and software deployment. The candidate should be familiar and have experience with different installation types (unattended, silent, headless, self, clean and flat installation), package technologies and software deployment methodologies. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and designing best of breed solutions. This position reports to the Director of IT and Network Infrastructure and periodically works with the Sales and Operations Teams. Responsible to support multiple pre sales opportunities.
